The Wardrobe Staples You'll Keep Coming Back To: Brown & White
An exploration of colour, personal style, and the newest additions to the MINA & CO. wardrobe.
There is something about finding a dress you love that makes you wish you owned it in every colour. You know how it fits, you know how you feel wearing it, and somehow, it becomes the first thing you consider whenever another occasion comes around.
At MINA & CO., we've been thinking a lot about that feeling. As our collection has grown, we've watched familiar silhouettes find their way into different wardrobes, worn for everything from graduations and weddings to family celebrations and evenings out. The same dress, styled differently, taking on a new identity with every person who wears it.
It made us think about what happens when you don't change the dress at all. What if you simply change the colour?
That question became the starting point for our latest releases: the MINA dress in brown, and the SAMIRA and JAMILA dresses in white.
Brown was a colour we kept coming back to. For years, black has been the natural choice for a dress that feels timeless, sophisticated, and easy to style. And while we'll always appreciate the classic black MINA dress, we began to see brown as its softer, more feminine counterpart. It carries a similar depth and versatility, but with a warmth that changes the entire feeling of an outfit.
There's something especially beautiful about brown in occasionwear. It feels understated without disappearing, and when paired with gold jewellery, delicate accessories, or even a contrasting shade, it becomes entirely its own statement. To us, it was a colour that deserved more attention.
And we knew exactly which dress we wanted to introduce it in.
The MINA dress has become one of our signature pieces and a favourite among our community. From ivory and emerald green to pink, blue, and beyond, each colourway has brought a different personality to the same familiar silhouette. After seeing how our customers continued to return to the MINA dress for different occasions, introducing brown felt like the next natural chapter.
We launched the colourway in October, just as deeper shades began returning to our wardrobes. But brown was never intended to be a seasonal addition. We imagined it just as easily at a winter celebration as we did at a spring dinner or an evening event in the summer.
White, meanwhile, came from a slightly different place.
There's a reason a white dress never really leaves the fashion conversation. Once closely associated with bridalwear and summer dressing, white has become a colour that can feel just as appropriate for a graduation, an intimate celebration, or an evening occasion. It has a way of drawing attention to the dress itself, from the shape of the silhouette to the smallest details.
When we looked at our SAMIRA and JAMILA dresses, previously introduced in pink, we felt that white was the colour they were missing.
Both styles already had their own identities, but we wanted to explore how a different colour could change the way they were worn. In white, the dresses take on a fresh perspective. They feel timeless without being traditional, elegant without requiring elaborate styling, and versatile enough to become part of more than one memorable occasion.
What we love most about these new colourways is that they aren't trying to reinvent the dresses themselves. Instead, they're offering a new way to experience pieces that already have a place in our collection.
As MINA & CO. continues to grow, we're looking forward to introducing new silhouettes while also expanding the colours of our existing favourites. We want our community to have options that reflect different seasons, celebrations, and personal styles, without feeling that a dress belongs to only one moment.
Because sometimes, the dress you've been looking for is one you already know. Just in a colour you haven't tried yet.
